To provide safe, effective, and quality care, nurses have to work with other healthcare professionals. As such, one of the essentials of a master's education in nursing is inter-professional collaboration for improving patient and population health outcomes (American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), 2011). Being part of a team allows nurses and other healthcare professionals to share their healthcare expertise, which promotes better patient outcomes.
My graduate education has prepared me to meet the healthcare needs of a diverse patient population by preparing me to be an effective team player and collaborator.
