The human resources department has gone through various changes in most organizations. Most of the revolutions implemented have made the work of human resource managers easier through the adoption of modern technology. One of the significant shifts in the managerial theories of human resources is the training of workers ("Evolution of Human Resource Management," 2013). Various organizations have implemented programs for training all new employees after recruitment. The orientation process includes getting to know more about the firm and the essential processes involved at work. The unexperienced employees get trained on the specific tasks they should handle at work. Training employees is necessary to ensure uniformity, particularly in the production process. As ongoing workers may also need to upgrade, they get trained on other levels of work. The activity of getting to know a different field leads to promotion in most cases. Human resource departments have been able to maintain employees through the creation of training sessions.
Maintaining wage uniformity is a significant shift occurring in the evolution of human resources. In this case, most organizations come up with a strategy of implementing strict minimum wages per hour for every employee ("Evolution of Human Resource Management," 2013). All workers can't get less than the decided amount despite the position or average working hours of an employee. The best practices ease managers' processes in the preparation of payrolls, including the employees on leave or at off duties. Evolution has also helped the departments in dealing with absenteeism in most organizations. Employees know that they will earn less if they don't honor the minimum working hours as required by the organizations' rules and regulations. This method has helped in the maintenance of stability in various organizations as workers put efforts to attain maximum payments.
Evolution has also helped human resources to focus on attaining better productivity. The managers don't have to push employees to achieve maximum output. The emerging trends major on employee motivation at the expense of monitoring them to work accordingly. Self-motivation results in excellent production and achievement of the organization's goals. Implementation of strategies like best practices ensures that all employees can balance work and family matters ("Evolution of Human Resource Management," 2013). Best practice measures help workers to settle well for their particular task with an assurance that all issues at home are solved. Working without supervision leads to excellent outputs as workers give their best in everything they do. All employees from the managers, supervisors to the subordinate staff know what's expected of them, and they work towards such achievements. The strategy has helped human resource departments to focus on the best performances in productivity....
