The selected risk management topic is a cyber security risk involving protecting systems, broadcasts, and networks from digital attacks. Cyber crimes seek to access, change, blackmail users, or distort classified data. Securing data in healthcare institutions is crucial due to the increased use of computers in the sector that might jeopardize patients’ wellbeing after attacks (Andre, 2017). Cyber security in hospitals is crucial since it helps prevent multiple attacks that lead to theft, disclosing classified data, and losing medical information.

Mayo clinic lacks good ways of protecting its medical devices in multiple branches attached to its networks since it uses the enterprise risk management system. The clinic can reduce cyber security risk by approximately 70% by implementing easy steps in the risk management strategy (Olson & Wu, 2015). Applications of various steps such as safe lifting, preserving inventories for devices and software, and installing modern anti-virus in the system can help prevent cyber threats in the organization.
