There is a complex interplay between cultural, environmental, and social well-being factors shaping LGBTQ community health outcomes. In this context, there remains a significant gap in the health disparity of this population, especially in sexual and mental health. While outlining the validation by Luquis and Perez about the LGBTQ community’s mental and sexual health, this essay will also give recommendations, health promotion, and education programs to aid their well-being.
LGBTQ community has higher incidence rates of mental health issues, with their probability of suicidal attempts and depressive episodes being two times higher compared to the general population (Luquis & Perez, 2021).
