Describe the roles and responsibilities of the administrative and/or managerial position you selected and why you selected it.
Leadership in a healthcare institution is vital to ensure the smooth running of the activities in the organization. I chose to become a healthcare administrator due to their roles in guiding healthcare delivery and thus positively impacting patient and population health outcomes. In addition, medical fraternities need a responsible healthcare administrator who discharges diverse roles and responsibilities. The healthcare administrator plays a central decision-making role within the healthcare facility. Healthcare administrators specifically guide how clinicians should discharge their services, including designing and implementing different medical programs and strategies for effective healthcare delivery. They also manage healthcare projects by scheduling implementation programs, creating planning committees, and auditing financial reports for the whole project in the healthcare system geared to promote the best services to patients. The healthcare administrator acts as a change-makers by developing new working schedules, duties, and responsibilities for each clinician in the medical institutions to ensure effective workflow and service delivery to patients (Laukka et al., 2020). Moreover, I would also support other professionals in healthcare institutions by offering technical support, training them on new modifications in their field of work, and motivating them by recognizing and appreciating their work.

To be effective in the responsibilities of healthcare, administrators need to possess the skills addressed below. Leadership skills will be essential in inspiring and leading other healthcare professionals to work as a team to enhance timely service delivery.
