Nursing is a complex and constantly changing discipline. As a result, BSN-prepared nurses must be careful while applying different practices in their care delivery. In this context, they should rely on evidence-based practice (EBP) because such an approach ensures that they can provide their patients with the most distinguished care that would lead to desirable outcomes. Fineout-Overhold, E., & Melnyk (2019) indicate that EBP enables BSN nurses to demonstrate their sense of inquiry by going beyond the casual delivery of services to incorporating critical thinking while caring for their patients. As a result, they rely on proven evidence to inform their approaches and that they are appropriate for the patient. Such an aspect leads to accurate diagnosis, fair treatment, and quick recovery of the patients. It also stirs other care-associated benefits, such as resource equity. Thus, EBP makes care appropriate.
