Evaluate and distinguish among the divisions and functions of the ANS and the importance of dual innervations.
The autonomic nervous system (ANS) “has two branches: the sympathetic nervous system (“fight or flight”) and parasympathetic nervous system (“resting and digesting”) (Marieb & Smith, 2016). Through dual innervation and adjustments, the ANS adjusts the cardiovascular function to meet the demands of other systems (Marieb & Smith, 2016).
Categorize the exteroceptors and interoceptors and provide examples of each 
 Interoceptors or visceroceptors respond to stimuli arising within the body and found in the internal visceral organs and include stretch receptors (Marieb & Smith, 2016). For instance, sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch senses. Extereoceptors react to stimuli in the external environment, and found close to the body surface. They include eyes, skin and taste buds.
Summarize the sensory pathways to the brain for gustatory and olfactory sensations.
