1 Describe the difference in roles between leadership and management.
Some individuals frequently confuse leadership and management as the identical form, but in reality, they are very distinct. The primary differentiation between the two is that managers have somebody or workers who only work for them in contrast with leaders who have people or workers that support and follow them, for a small organization or institution to be prosperous and thriving they want to be both a great leader and effective manager to get their organization on board with working towards their vision and mission of success. Leadership is about taking people to embrace and understand in the idea or vision the leader set for the organization and to work hand in hand with you on attaining the institution's goal, while management is more about controlling and making sure the daily activities are proceeding as they should (Swanwick, 2019).
Leadership and management must go together. They are not the same, but they are fundamentally linked and interconnected to one another—any attempt to sever the two inside an organization will likely generate more predicaments than it resolves. For any institution to be victorious, it necessitates management that can organize, plan, and regulate its staff, while also encouraging and driving them to work to the best of their capacity Leaders tend to appreciate success and encourage people, whereas managers work to find errors. They draw a picture of what they perceive as the potential for the institution and work to motivate and engage their people in transforming that vision into actuality. Rather than seeing people as just a distinct set of talents, they think ahead of what they do and initiate them to be part of something much more significant. They are well informed of how high-functioning units can achieve a lot more when striving together than people working individually are ever able to accomplish (Swanwick, 2019).
