The career of a medical practitioner is overly demanding in almost every aspect and thus it requires an exceptional degree of discipline, chastity, fastidiousness, sobriety, and confidentiality because other people’s information and lives are at stake. The doctor's conduct with patients right from the first time of their interaction to discharge all add up to their bedside manner, which is crucial in ensuring a cordial relationship between the patients and the doctor. Paying attention to little things such as greetings, empathy, time management, apologizing for not doing it right, giving hope, tolerating arrogant patients among others amount to proper bedside manners which contribute significantly in ensuring trust from the patients, effective communication, and of course the overall success of a health care practitioner. 
The main objective of submitting to healthcare is to get healed and the earlier the better. However, the healing process does not only rely on the expertise of the doctor and the kind of medication administered but also the level of confidence that the patient has on the doctor. Patients tend to have absolute trust in the caregivers who pay attention to the little things that matter, in essence, the proper bedside manners. Besides, patients often tend to judge the caregivers based on their conduct rather than the technical expertise given the fact that they have little or no idea on the underlying concepts of the medical field (Wilson, 2018). The trust will also go a long way in ensuring the patients adhere to the prescription provided by the physician and eventually quick recovery becomes a reality.
