Indeed, nurses in all settings need to learn and understand all the emerging and existing theories. It is also imperative for them to seek ways of developing theories and approaches that can elaborate on what they have learned and observed throughout their practice. However, given the demands nurses experience in their practice, they need to find ways to develop theories that will explain what they observe in their practice. One of the approaches nurses should use is researching the existing theories and understanding if there is anything that needs to be added or improved. They can also explore different fields that have not been given attention in health care. Whatever new they may learn, they can develop a theory and practice what they had learned during the study.
