Health care providers should make effective decisions that involve organizational performance and quality health care services which further improves patient safety. Due to the increasingly complicated nature of the healthcare system, there is an increase in the responsibility of various healthcare professionals. Healthcare workers are expected to adhere to routines and act according to their leaders' decisions (Lunney, 2013). In accordance with medical practice, clinicians and other health workers should retrieve and analyze information to make informed decisions. This research focuses on the impact of the decision-making within the healthcare setting on a given scenario involving a health care personnel called Mike.
Consequences of a Failure to Report
Failure to report about the potential risks of the spillage may have negative consequences not only on the patient safety but that of the hospital visitors and healthcare personnel. Falls that occur as a result of spills cause severe injuries such as musculoskeletal and spinal injuries. Furthermore, depending on the fall's impact, it may also result in an individual's death.
