Various diseases might look similar, yet entirely different in terms of symptoms and occurrence. Two examples of such include rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The main similarity between osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis is that both affect joints, causing swelling, tenderness, and some significant level of pain. The symptoms often get worse with age as the linings of these joints continue earing off significantly by the day. as a result, older people will suffer more pain and selling from these diseases compared to younger ones with the same. Another similarity between these two is that they both result in a reduced degree of movement for the joints that they affect (Roth, 2021). This is usually the case due to the wearing out of the cartilage. Also, both of them typically worsen over time if the appropriate medication is not taken on time.
