Summary of strengths
Based on the clinical skills self–assessment form, I have identified my strengths. They are categorized in various sections.
The first section is comprehensive psychiatric evaluation skills: I am confident in recognizing clinical signs and symptoms of psychiatric illness. Being confident in this area implies that I don’t need to rely on anyone to execute the process. The ability to recognize clinical signs and symptoms of psychiatric illness allows me to diagnose emotional, behavioral, and other developmental problems in the patient CITATION Ame19 \l 1033 (American Association of Nurse Practitioners, 2019). I can do a psychiatric evaluation according to the child’s behaviors. I can easily assess behaviors to know how they are affecting the child. In another case, I’m mostly confident in differentiating between pathophysiological and psychopathological conditions. I can complete it well but with some little supervision. This is a strength because I know how the process is done. Another strength in comprehensive evaluation skills is in the ability to perform and interpret a comprehensive and/or interval history and physical examination (including laboratory and diagnostic studies). Being able to complete this process with some supervision still gives me an opportunity...
