References and ideas must be the same... Basically , this order is outline and the order that I will made is the essay. The topic: can be any question from the attached Study Module.. But not module 4 You can copy the above and sent it to the new writer -----/-//////-------- I also want to know, Do you have writers in epidemiology as I have another order to be made"? Also statistic "? References must be 5 years old - mostly journal articles.-- This order is \\\" outline\\\", I will make another order for the actual essay (major essay 3000 words) both order must be written by on writer.=== Attached all required document.-- I need to know the topic and confirmed with the supervisor before you proceed.-- the topic: Regarding the topic of this assignment, the topic can be any question from the discussion questions in the attached Study Guide (each module has discussion questions, only one question can be a topic of this essay). Or any topic related to the subject \\\"Contemporary Practice Issues\\\". Dear students, I have had some queries and concern about assignment 1. I suggets you consider the first essay as “setting the scene” and use the framework in the PP in the assessment folder: Issue, Claim, Evidence and Relevance. So develop your argument for essay 1 by defining the issue, making a claim about the issue, considering the evidence available (but not discussing critically what it says- leave that for the next essay) and then the relevance of the issue (why it’s important). This essay is only 800-1000 words so it is a brief outline that is required and developing the argument that you will receive feedback on, and then the full discussion, critical analysis of the evidence, need for change or argument against change and recommendations will be developed in the longer essay. As with any assessment, also use the CRA to guide you as you go, as this is what you will be marked against and frequently check back against the assessment task. This essay needs to be written in academic form and referenced.

 ESSENTIAL GUIDELINES FOR ASSIGNMENT PREPARATION

Assignment marking criteria

Please read the marking criteria carefully prior to submission of your assignment so that you are clear as to the criteria you must meet (see the CRA marking criteria for this assignment).

While there is no specific number of references required for this assignment, as a guide you should have cited at least 15 – 20 high quality journal articles journal articles that would be considered to be current evidence-based literature

Word limit

The teaching team will not continue to mark responses that are judged to be beyond the word limit. Assignments significantly short of the  word limit indicate inadequate exploration of the literature and therefore inadequate response to the questions. A 10% variance above or below the word limit is allowed. In-text references are included in this total. The word limit does not include the reference list at the end of the assignment.

Format of assignment

To assist with marking, you MUST prepare your assignment as follows. Failure to do so will result in a lower grade for presentation:

  • 3cm margins on all sides, with student number in footer, paginated
  • Double-spaced text
  • Arial/Times New Roman, font size 12
  • QUT APA style referencing (see http://www(dot)library(dot)qut(dot)edu(dot)au/learn/referenceandcite.jsp)

Changes in Nursing Delivery in Response to Current Pressures on the Healthcare System
Outline
Introduction
* The major changes visible in the delivery of nursing care in response to current pressures on the health care system include increasing national expenditure in healthcare, more private-sector involvement in healthcare, and adoption of new technologies to satisfy increasing patient needs.
* There is increased patient acuity requiring more intensive care.
* An increasing older population
* Increasing rates of chronic conditions
* Increasing nurse shortage.
* Thesis: There is an increase in overall expenditure in healthcare to take care of an increasing older population and the number of patients requiring intensive/specialized care.
Body
* Increasing patient acuity has resulted in more patients seeking intensive and specialized care (American Hospital Association, 2012).
* There is evidence of the number of intensive care cases in hospital settings. This is cause by efforts to shorten the length of hospital stay and reduce delays (Needleman, 2013).
* More patients are being discharged more quickly to post-acute care services such as home-based care and skilled nursing facilities.
* This trend has resulted in an increase in the workload for nurses in intensive care units, home-based care, and skilled nursing facilities (Berry & Curry, 2012).
* Reducing nursing staffing to cut costs has a negative effect on patient outcomes in critical care (Penoyer, 2010).
* Rising rates in the proportion of aged patients has exerted more pressure on the existing healthcare resources.
* Increasing life expectancies in the developed countries has increased the number of older patients requiring specialized care (Cjaza & Sharit, 2009).
* In the United States, an aging baby boomer generation (which has attained the eligibility age for Medicare benefits -65 years) is increasing at the rate of 10, 000 persons per day (American Medical Association, 2012), which means that the country will have to spend more in nursing services for older persons.
* It is estimated that by the year 2030, 22 percent of the U.S. population will be aged 65 years and above, and the majority of this population segment will be over 75 years old (Czaja & Sharit, 2009).
* The high number of aged persons will require expansion of the social and support services to allow older people lead health lives.
* The eligibility of the baby boomer generation for Medicare benefits will increase use of healthcare services and resources (American Medical Association, 2012).
* The 2007-2016 Health Care Plan for South Australia portrays an increasing demand for care services for older persons in coming years (South Australia Dept. of Health, 2009).
* An increasing number of old people are living alone, which requires more investments in nursing homes for the old (South Australia Dept. of Health, 2009).
* Increasing levels of chronic conditions, such as obesity and heart diseases in the developed countries has put more pressure on the available nursing services.
* Australia and other developed countries like the U.S., Japan, South Korea, United Kingdom, and France, rank among the countries with the highest risk of weight-related health conditions (International Risk Governance Council, 2010).
* In the developing world, almost 1 billion people are classified as obese (Keats & Wiggins, 2014).
* Child obesity is increasing at an alarming rate throughout the world, which is attributed to increased use of formula feeds (Ahmad, et al., 2010).
* High rates of cardiovascular diseases are a major contributor of mortality in the developed world (Fuster & Kelly, 2010.
* The combination of high obesity and cardiovascular disease rates will have the impact of straining nursing resources.
* The expansion of the scope of nurses' responsibilities reflects the pressure created by increasing levels of chronic diseases.
* Nurse shortage has a negative impact on the quality of care services.
* Nurse shortage results from cost-cutting policies adopted by governments and the need to increase effi...
