In a written paper of 1,250-1,500 words, evaluate the current forces driving change in your field or industry (HEALTHCARE/NURSING). As a leader, or considering the role of a leader, assess your organization and evaluate how well it is responding to the forces, and identify where there is a need for change. Develop a vision to inspire this change. Include the following:
(1) Describe your organization, include the organization's mission, and identify the various stakeholders.
(2) Identify the external and internal forces that drive organizational change in your field or industry. Explain the origin or reason for these internal or external driving forces. Explain how these forces directly affect the viability of your organization.
(3) Choose one of the driving forces. Describe the specific issues this driving force creates, or will potentially create, for your organization or department.
(4) Propose the steps needed for your organization or department to respond to this driving force.
(5) Predict how employees at various levels in the organization will respond to your proposed change initiative.
(6) Develop a vision for change. Describe how this vision correlates with the organization's mission, and how you will present this vision to internal stakeholders.
(7) Predict how you think your vision will assist internal stakeholders in supporting the change initiative. Identify potential considerations posed by stakeholders, and discuss how you will respond.

The fast-paced technological advancements in the healthcare industry have a significant influence on the organization stability and success. Furthermore, since healthcare organizations do not possess any control over the external forces, such as technology they are required to consider organizational change in order to align with the environment (Academic library, 2014).
Description of an organization
Dallas county medical centre based in Fordyce, Arkansas is a comprehensive healthcare system that provides health care services to all citizens of all ages. The organization offer general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The medical center has a mission of offering extensive variety of general acute care services to the residents of Dallas County and nearby areas. The services that would be offered will be of the maximum quality and each attempt will be made to offer these services in a reasonable manner. The various stakeholders of the medical centre include patients, staffs, donors, and state government (Dallas County Medical Centre, 2017).
External and internal forces
External forces affect the medical center both directly and indirectly. Moreover, the organization does not possess any control over the forces, which calls for organizational change in order to align with the environment. The external factors that cause organizational change in the healthcare industry include technology, marketing conditions, and political forces. On the other hand, internal forces are events or systems within an organization that prevent it from attaining temporary and long-term goals, thereby prompting for an organizational change. The internal forces that drive organizational change include management change and deficiencies in the prevailing management structure (Academic library, 2014).
The external forces have a direct effect on the viability of Dallas county medical centre. For instance, adoption of sophisticated information technology makes the organization more receptive. Furthermore, this compels the organization and its workers to adjust, thus restructuring various jobs. Marketing conditions are quickly changing in response with changes to the desires and needs of the clients. Therefore, for an organization to be successful they need to consider new methods of marketing and advertising that are employed by their competitors. Conversely, several laws and regulations control the healthcare industry and since the healthcare organizations do not possess power over the legal and political forces, they are required to adapt in order to meet the demands of these forces. Political forces influence the viability of healthcare organizations since they have a single option of complying with the laws and regulations in order to be successful in the market (Academic library, 2014).
On the other hand, the internal forces also have a direct effect on the feasibility of Dallas county medical centre. For instance, the medical centre periodically changes its administrative staff through promotion, retirement, and dismissal. This result to changes in informal relationships and attitudes since each administrator brings in their own proposals and point of view in the organization. Consequently, the organization has to adjust in order to operate efficiently. Moreover, change is also necessary due to deficiencies in the prevailing organizational structure. These deficiencies may be in form of lack of harmonization among different departments, barriers in communication, and lack of consistency in strategy decision. These deficiencies if are not addressed may have a direct effect on the smooth running of the medical centre, as well as its success in the market (Academic library, 2014).
The impact of technology on healthcare organizations
Technology has an influence of various aspects of modern society. In fact, the healthcare industry is greatly affected by the hi-tech revolution. In spite of technology being one of the driving forces that propel organizational change it has significant impacts to people health and has enhanced the quality of life. Spanning from implementation of electronic health records to progress in bio-medical engineering and technology, contemporary healthcare and its delivery techniques are increasingly shifting. Furthermore, technology role is being felt in almost all processes, such as data analysis, patient registration, lab tests, and self-care tools. Technological advancements in healthcare have facilitated Dallas county medical centre to pull out its medical services out of the precincts of hospital walls and incorporated them with easy to use devices.
