The three energy pathways are the ATP-CP pathway, the Oxidative pathway, and the Glycolytic pathway. The ATP-CP system or pathway involves the breakdown of phosphocreatine (also known as creatine phosphate) in order to obtain the phosphate molecule for the production of ATP. Creatine phosphate is actually a chemical compound that is stored in human muscles. Glycolysis or glycolytic pathway is a metabolic system by which living organisms extract energy in the form of ATP.
