Cellulitis is the most common skin infection in primary care. It is a common bacterial infection that infects the skin and soft tissues beneath the skin. This infection can cause redness, pain, tenderness and warmth. Untreated infection can spread rapidly.

Incidence and Prevalence of Cellulitis
The occurrence of this disease is common in racial and ethnic groups. Patients with cellulitis visit more than two million emergency departments and six-fifty thousand clinic admissions in the United States (Li et al., 2018). Prevalence of men and women are equal frequency, common in elderly people, approximately 15 685.6 cases each year (Peterson et al., 2017). In the 21st Century, this disorder spread in the US and other regions.
Pathophysiology
Cellulitis typically happens by an opening in the skin (crack, cut, laceration, pest bite, or lesion). Most common bacteria that cause infection are streptococci and Staphylococcus aureus (Linder & Malani, 2017). Few cases are caused by other organisms.
