Strengths
1. What are the recognized strengths of your identified area?
The strengths of this organization are the following: 1) They are dedicated to providing high-quality care for assisted living especially for terminally-ill patients and patients with terminal neurocognitive problems such as Alzheimer’s Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease.; 2) The nursing home assist the families and provide receiving areas during visitation.; 3) The employees, whether healthcare-related or not, are all approachable.; 4) They honor celebrations and organize family gatherings that greatly improve the clients’ well-being.
2. What does your identified area do better than other companies?
This nursing home can provide better care for the clients because they treat them holistically. They do not just focus on the clients’ physical needs but they also dwell on their mental and emotional needs. They provide guidance and open recreation areas that are nature-friendly and mimic the environment outside the nursing home. They also customize every client’s room according to their needs and wishes.
3. What unique capabilities or resources does your identified area possess?
This company has a well-devised floor plan that put into consideration the kinds of clients that they cater to. They have nature- and eco-friendly design (presence of orchids, bougainvillea, and different kinds of plants in the living room, dining rooms, and clients’ rooms if they wish to have them. The storage areas are lower and within every clients’ reach (low drawers and cabinets). Also, the door handles are of lever-type and all doors need to be pushed rather than pulled. This is to minimize accidents and to let the clients live more independently without the healthcare providers’ assistance. The clothes in the closets segregated by color and these are arranged depending on style (blouse, t-shirts, nightgown, pants, shorts, etc). so that clients will have an easier time to choose what they are going to wear for the day.

Other companies consider our hospitality as our main strength. This allows the clients to feel like they are at home and this quality reassures the families that their loved ones will be taken care of.

Weaknesses
1. What are the recognized weaknesses of your identified area?
There is less space available for recreation despite having complete equipment and the nursing home sometimes spends beyond its capacity secondary to high operating costs.
2. What do competitors do better than your identified area?
Other competitors can provide a very wide-open space to facilitate activities.
3. What areas can be improved at your current position?
The management must be able to deliver their finances every month to lessen overspending and budget cuts.
4. What do other companies consider to be your weakness?
Other companies consider the nursing home’s lack of organization and due to the financial problems encountered monthly.

Opportunities
1. What trends or conditions positively impact the company?
The conditions that positively impact the company include the high ratio of elderly versus children since this increases the number of clients and good endorsement by the government and other health care providers to apply for a nursing home care for patients with Alzheimer’s dementia.
2. What opportunities exist for the identified area?
Several opportunities exist for a nursing home including the ability to increase the surface area for recreation, improvement of facilities by replacement or increasing the number of facilities, and by providing additional services like nursing home care services for nearby homes.

Threats
1. What trends or conditions impact the identified area in a negative way?
The increase in the number of clients with communicable diseases can impact the nursing home negatively.
2. What is the competition doing that may have an impact on your identified area?
There are already several established nursing home facilities with a better reputation.
3. Does your identified area have solid financial support?
This business is independently-funded without loans. Given the chance that the administration will be able to apply for a bank loan that is at par with the financial capabilities of the nursing home, then financial problems will be settled easier and earlier.
4. What impact does your weakness have on the threats your identified area faces?
The administration’s weaknesses, such as the financial incapabilities, cannot cover up for the expenses, given that the patients or clients who do not have a significant number of co-morbidities transfer to another nursing home due to ...
