In recovery, and drug and alcohol counseling, according to Corey and Corey (2021), "groups are highly effective, and they offer unique opportunities for new learning" (p. 318). In your own words describe the benefit of group counseling, then provide support for your argument by citing the text.
Papers should demonstrate your understanding of the concepts and theories covered in the reading and supplemental material for the unit as well as ways in which these concepts relate to current events and/or your personal experience. Students must use relevant terminology while defining concepts/theories in their own words.

Benefits of Group Counselling
Group therapy has proven effective in bringing up sobber individuals under qualified mental health. The vast benefits of group counseling have resulted in outstanding results in the control of mental health and general body health (Kinney, 2020). The group approach to group therapy has enabled and eased access to various individuals undergoing the same conditions silently. It is usually said that better together. the same has worked in the health field better and concisely. According to Corey and Corey in their book “Becoming a Helper,” they portray how this approach has been borne massively (2015). To begin with, group therapy has allowed a mentality of “you are not alone.” Many mental health victims have found a chance to know that they are not only the ones suffering from the various conditions.
A sense of belonging is easily achieved here among the health victims. Due to various individual disorders experienced by these groups, many tend to lose or lower their sense of belonging and self-esteem (McRae, 2013)....
