Patient Health Care
Health care is one of the most important things in someone’s life. Getting the most out of the services should be a requirement, services should satisfy or must exceed a patient’s expectation. Since the technology evolves, the medical field is expected to keep up with the innovations. Electronic Health Record is considered a treasure in the medical society, it contains the record of the patients. A group of researchers noted, knowing and understanding a person’s specification of a certain disease or illness is an important move to give the appropriate treatment (Farmer, et al., 2018). Not all the treatments are applicable for everyone, some had to consider factors that may affect the treatment. Keeping a record of different illnesses’ cases and types are classified, EHRs are also used to formulate new medicines.
Ambulatory care has continuous enhancement compared to the previous years as if this is the new standard of health care. Diseases management less than 24 hours, precautionary care, pinpointing illnesses, consultations, therapies, or even operating patients are considered to be ambulatory care (Rumball-Smith, Shekelle, & Damberg, 2019). The study showed that the EHR serves as the main support of the medical system, information storage, and entries of significant data, virtual communication, and medical support.
Physical therapy as one of the Acute Care, helps the patients to recover and improve their physical function after their hospital discharge. Therapies have a large role especially with the adults who are discharged and physical health is declining. Most adults are readmitted because their condition has weakened, PTs have the chance to help the patients regain their health (Falvey, et al., 2016). Eliminating readmissions for the adults and continuously improving the patient’s health is a major transformation for the hospitals.
The EHR Supports Technological Needs
Gathering data that will help the patient’s clinical needs are getting easier with EHR, paper-based are rare because, with the electronics, the data gathered are easily compared (Scholte, et al., 2016). The survey showed that the majority of the patients (respondents) agreed that the excellence of EHR is appropriate for calculating the quality indicators. The EHR can give criticism for research though this needs more improvement to make the information clear and constant. (Scholte, et al., 2016). Advancements of methods of therapies that will vary from one patient to another, depending on their case.
Applicability to the health care practice setting and workflow support.
Patients have different histories of illnesses, the EHR can provide all the records needed data. Understanding the patient’s situation for better treatment, planning even before the hospital discharge (Falvey, et al., 2016). EHR has varieties depending on the use of information technology. In physical therapy, the patient’s records are everything; the planning is based on the past up to the present condition, the sessions and improvements are put through the datasheet virtually. Patient’s records are on the web for easier access, though it needs the expertise to dive into it easily. Practice and familiarization are required to prevent the error from encoding to accessing the virtual records.
The Vendor Provides Education Implementation and Support
Associations have started using EHR as usual patient profile storage, patient’s demographic profile, complete and honest information about the history of diseases, body condition, etc. (Chaundhry, et al., 2019). The vendor supports the setting for easier access to the patient’s risk factors. Educating the practitioner about the patient’s overall death risk. Records with pointers are made for preventive actions. The Vendor should consider the financial status of the client. Also providing the manuals and other instructional material that will help the
The EHR Supports Administrative Needs.
Understanding the practice and the patient through the records in EHR, recording single data at a time, unlike the paper-based records that need duplicate in case of loss (Hodgkins, 2015). The administrative works lessen and data are more accurate because of the electronic records. Unlike paper-based records, virtual records have shortcuts and methods. Most of all, honesty between the staffs will be practiced. Executive staffs focus on paper works, records, and billings. A study has shown the survey th...
