According to Wang (2020), a performance-driven team is a "small number of people, with all of the above, who consistently produce results that exceed expectations and goals." This demonstrates the core of any performance-driven team, and it also shows their aim. A team like this is characterized by having a common purpose among members, having the same sense of specific goals, facilitating open communication with one another, having diverse, complementary skill sets, a sense of accountability for each member, flexibility, and adaptability, and lastly, the desire to learn continuously (Wang, 2020). These characteristics are all oriented toward improving every single member of the team to improve the team in its entirety.
