There is much progress in the internship and looking forward to gaining more and adapting to a working environment. The internship program has helped me to relate theoretical aspects to the working world, and it’s fantastic how I have to handle my duties and submit my work on scheduled time. Being asked by Marissa on what I intend to gain from the internship and the job it gets me worried since I am all excited about the new environment and doing something different. Since it’s a required course that all students are supposed to be involved in, I am worried that I may not have a specific answer. But what I intend to gain from the attachment is cooperation — getting to answer calls and connect calls from various students to respective departments.
However, with the excellent progress and getting to cope with the environment, I realize I have a weakness in listening well as I have made some clients wait for not looking well, and I have pressed wrong buttons while answering calls. I do not take my time to learn and analyze the input to generate adequate results, and this is my weakness. With the strengths I have, I do ask for help from Marissa in work that needs direction and further clarifications.
I am looking forward to developing and building my weaknesses to be strengths. It will help me achieve and attain my goals and meet deadlines in an organized manner.
