The media plays a critical role in how the public perceives leadership. For instance, in the United States, the media has come under serious criticism for holding biased views concerning leadership in the country. For years now, the Fox news network has held seriously conservative views, and, therefore acted as a platform for republican politics. The result has been an extreme polarization of political views in America (Kasińska-Metryka & Gajewski, 2021). Those who support republicans always prefer a channel such as Fox because it shares and promotes their opinions. The public finds it hard to identify the real problems with American leadership because the media feeds them what they want. Using the information provided by the media, the public calls for action even though there are other underlying problems within government (Kasińska-Metryka & Gajewski, 2021).
