How will you activate students' prior knowledge and link previous learning to the learning activity?

Activating the students' prior knowledge is imperative because it jogs the learner's mind in readiness for new knowledge. In other words, it stirs up the previous knowledge that the learners have for them to relate it with the new concept being introduced (Collins, 2014). I will activate students' prior knowledge by engaging students in a brainstorming session, engaging materials such as learning grids, finding out tables, anticipatory guides, concept maps, and graphic organizers.
