One day, as I was traveling upcountry, we were hijacked. All our belongings and valuables were stolen as we were left stranded and unclothed. Fortunately, a stranger came and helped us. There is a lady who gave me clothes, a place to rest and, the following day, she offered me some money to pay fare and proceed with the journey.
There are situations in today’s life where helping skills are highly needed. For example, helping people with conflict and stress. A times conflict or disagreement occurs within friends or even at work place. Conflict may cause physical and psychological problems and this occurs when individuals are under pressure beyond their abilities (Maiese, 2003).
