There may be some that you agree with and some that you do not. However, it is important to examine where the trends of education are rooted. This assignment is a creative way for you to dive deeper into learning about the impact of one particular educational thinker. INSTRUCTIONS  Using the Educational Thinker Selection List under the Educational Thinker Resources section in Canvas, choose one educational thinker on whom to base this assignment.  Investigate the background of your selected educational thinker. Highlight the following three aspects: o Biographical information o Educational ideas o Educational impact  Include biographical information about the thinker only as it relates to how life events influenced the individual’s philosophy of education. The major focus of the handout information should be given to the person’s educational ideas and educational impact. Make a strong connection from the thinker’s theory to his or her practice.  Choose a creative format to present your information as a Word document. A Visionary Born Emma Willard was born in 1787 in Berlin, Connecticut. Growing up, she had immense curiosity about learning and her family greatly valued education. At the age of 17, she started teaching and, as such, could observe the gender disparity in educational needs between male children and female children. This awareness spurred her to dedicate her life to ensuring women get equal opportunities in education as men.
