Some of the earliest steps of a research study are discovering a problem and developing research questions which will help you address the problem and develop the purpose for the study. In this assignment, you will review and identify problem and purpose statements with corresponding research questions in published research. Then you will write your own problem and purpose statements and research questions for the research you proposed in Module 2. (Population and Sampling)

Review various problem statements, purpose statements, and research questions in the current literature by reviewing 3 research study articles. Review a mix of qualitative and quantitative studies. This will help you understand the format and alignment of these elements. Use the following questions to guide your review:

How do the research questions align with the hypothesis in quantitative studies?

Step 3. Apply
Apply what you have learned about the problem statement and research questions to the Research Process Table you drafted in Module 1 (The research process reflection) Refine and revise your draft steps as needed.
