Sports that might be considered dangerous such as football, baseball, and basketball are part of teenagers’ calendar activities. While these sports are beneficial, they are associated with numerous injuries that may affect the development of teenagers. This essay argues that despite the potential injuries, teenagers should be allowed to play dangerous sports because it helps in healthy weight and social skills development.
Playing sports helps teenagers develop healthy weights. According to Stanford Children's Health (n.d.), obesity is on the increase among children and those that are active in sports are more likely to have normal weight.
