The Politics of Cultural Authenticity
The book chapter “The Politics of Cultural Authenticity” by Nadine Naber highlights the identity formations experienced by Arab Americans living in the Bay Area of San Francisco. The minority community maintains those traditions that reify orientalist ideas of Arab culture to set themselves apart from American culture.
