Scholarship Application: Bachelors Of Science In Computer Science
Needing a personal essay for scholarship applications. Adding what I have so far.
My name is Aaron Elam and I am currently a sophomore at Texas State University. I have completed an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Central Texas College with a 2.6 GPA. I transferred to Texas State University in order to pursue my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. I am applying for this scholarship in order to help with furthering my studies in Computer Science. My long-term goal is to be a software designer.
I was born in Germany due to my father being in U. S. Army and our family living abroad. My father served for over 20 years in the military, my mother is a German citizen and our family has moved a multitude of times while I was growing up. This opened me to a multi-culture life that most never have had the opportunity to experience. I have enjoyed walking the streets of Rome, seeing the Coliseum, Vatican City and the many historical sites in Germany to include Berlin and parts of the former East Germany. One of my goals is to work for a multi-national corporation and travel around the world.
These experiences abroad along with being an only child has molded who I am and will be in the future. I was able to entertain myself at an early age by using my imagination and love for computers.

I am applying for this scholarship to facilitate my endeavors in the field of Computer Science. My long-term goal is to be a software designer and this scholarship is the ideal way forward for me to reach my goals.
