I hope you are doing alright, since we last raced together. Since that time, I have reflected on that race and hope to hear from you. The essence of competitive sport and athletics is sportsmanship, and I had long believed that sportsmanship is for the good of sports, track, and field. Honesty is bare and straight, and I do not want to be associated with the crooked. While athletics is an individual sport, helping one where possible does not affect my ability to run my race well.
