This is the beginning of my personal statement. Please use this as a basement. You ca
n change the structure completely(the title as well), just the content should stay th
e same. This text is for the London University of the Arts. I am hoping to enter i
n one of the fashion design courses. I have just written half of the page, but it sh
ould be about 1 page long. You can add anything as long as it sounds convincing. Tha
nk you! If you have any questions, please contact me on my email address or on my ph
one address(which might be faster): The journey
to awareness From my childhood I loved and lived Fashion. After High school I star
ted to deal with fashion in a serious way. I fell in love with Yoji Yamamoto. So I d
ecided to go to Japan for an intern ship. Finding out that nobody there is speaking E
nglish, I broke up with my German fashion school and started to learn Japanese. Two y
ears later I was in Japan for an exchange program at Kumamoto, but still fare away fr
om Yamamoto. In 2010 I found an intern ship in Tokyo and came back. In the mornings I
went to the fashion studio, where I did my intern ship and in the evenings I was vis
iting evening courses at two of the most known schools in Japan; Mode Gakuen and Bunk
a Fashion Collage. I wanted to know every thing about Japanese fashion an the big sec
ret behind it. But instead of finding out how to make such wonderful creations like Y
oji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons and co. I just saw students studying the same stuff l
ike people in Europe; Using the same patterns, learning about the same fashion histor
y we do. All Japanese designers and design students, who have an abroad experience, w
ere saying that in Japanese schools you can learn how to make great patterns or achie
ve excellent sawing skills, but you would not learn how to be creative. There I reali
sed there no point of studying fashion in Japan. I have to go where the best people a
re and for me it is London. The internationality and the creativity inspires me a lot
. I am pretty sure I can find some Japanese friends-I want to keep the connection for
the future and at least I can be where my favourite European designer, Vivienne West
wood, lives.

I have dealt with fashion in serious way just after my high school. I have been in Japan for an internship after liking Yoji Yamamoto. The problem I experienced was that no body was an English speaker, as an effect, I left my Germany classes and started Japanese language.
I did my exchange program at Kumamoto which was far way from Yamamoto. In 2010, I started another internship in Tokyo, at this time; I used to go to the fashion studio during morning hours where the internship was taking place, while I spend my evening hours taking evening courses at Mode Gakuen and Bunk a fashion collage. The two are the Japanese most known schools. My aspiration was to know everything about the Japanese fashion and the secrete behind them. However, instead of finding out on how to make such wonderful creations like Yoji Yamamoto, Comme des Garcons and Co, they kept on teaching about similar stuffs like Europe people. They use similar pattern...
