Accountability is the state in which one is liable and the readiness to accept responsibility and be accountable for one's actions. Being responsible while in the army makes the soldiers reliable, and hence they can do their work with ease and at the right time. The soldiers can meet the job's deadlines, yet they can still accomplish their work on time. Accountability helps protect the lives of other soldiers in the army and the soldiers' teamwork effort; these allow them to be safe.
Accountability is an essential principle in leadership in the army and builds trust among the Army soldiers. It creates a sense of well-being and cooperation in the military. They are accountable means that the soldiers are willing to be responsible and committed to one's actions. Also, the soldiers can be entrusted with the protection of other people (Novikov, 2017). Based on the trust, the soldiers can admit and make amends if the trust is broken. Here the soldiers emphasize the need to be committed and hence have the urge to protect the people.
Based on the army's accountability, it does improve its routine; hence it does eradicate the effort, and the spent time the soldiers spend on the distraction of activities and other behaviours (Novikov, 2017). The investigation shows that people tend to get involved in actions that are not worth appealing. When there is no accountability, it tends to lead to losses based on the errors and mistakes made. Responsibility for the culture-building helps in the bringing up of newer jobs that people can engage in them.
Accountability also does bring about ownership promotion. Here the soldiers can make the people accountable for their actions done and teach them the work values. Responsibility brings about positive feedback, and the efforts are corrective (Malish& Sargent, 2019). This brings about a better impact on the people on their actions and behaviours. Based on these values, it does bring importance to the soldiers, and hence they work hard and learn what to do and have a sense of ownership.
Another way that the soldiers can have accountability is that when they engage in doing the right thing in the army, it increases the team member's skills, and hence there is a confidence boost. Also, they can provide the proper support and issue positive feedback (Malish& Sargent, 2019). Accountability brings about unity and cooperation among the soldiers in the army. The soldiers are also able to become responsible and hence can protect the people.
