I have faced numerous challenges in my academic journey. One of the significant challenges that I have been working on is test anxiety. I always feel nervous before taking any exam even before I joined high school. The fear of exam has increased because there is a lot at stake. Test scores determine if one is moving to the next class and can affect your future career. I often experience fear and panic during exams because of my past experience. I once performed poorly on a test; I was scolded by my parents. I was also ridiculed by my friends. Since then, an exam to me means negative things like being ridiculed or being scolded again.
This has been a frustrating experience for me because I am an active student and always receive good grades in my class assignments. Everyone expects me to perform well in my exams. However, when it comes to exams, I normally feel tense, making it difficult for me to focus on the task. Exam anxiety interferes with my ability to show my cognitive capabilities, making me feel more frustrated during exams. That is why I have tried to find a solution to this problem. My future career depends on my academic achievement; exam anxiety is one of the biggest challenges I had to overcome in high school.
