In diverse contexts, interpersonal communication requires understanding high and low-context perceptions. Utilizing these strategies enhances effective communication in a variety of contexts. Considering the high-context and low-context communication, it is significant and essential to determine the culture within the group or organization (Bechervaise, 2022). Recognizing non-verbal cues and doing line reading is essential in high-context cultures like Japan. In low-context cultures, being explicit, clear, and direct is valued among Western countries (Goman, 2022). This way, misunderstandings can be avoided if one modifies their communication style based on the situation. Other than that, feedback loop implementation is pivotal for better communication. When implementing a plan, it is vital to check that everyone involved is on the same page, as misinterpretations are common in multicultural settings (Yumiya et al., 2019).
