The role of management in an organization
Management is a very key component in all organizations. Its significant role is uniting individuals together to accomplish attainable goals. In the real sense, management usually allocates or mobilizes resources to various departments such as Finance, Information Technology, Human Resource and others. In addition, management organizes these resources in a way which strategic goals of the organization are attained in the long run in an easy way. Also, management takes part in all activities within an organization. These activities include planning, controlling, leading and organizing. For instance, a given organization is usually guided past its functioning by its management. This paper describes the role of management in an organization and the role of a union in an organization. It also present two strategies that an organization can implement to create and maintain a conducive working relationship with unions and strategies a union can implement to create and maintain a conducive working relationship with management.
Normally, management owns the role of propelling any organization past its journey and can actually play the role of decision making for the destination of the organization. Additionally, management conceptualizes the fundamental strategies and theories which would ultimately lead to the target realization set by the management itself. Surprisingly, a manager can share the role of projecting the yearly expenses and profits in their given fields. This can be the case although it can alternatively be carried out by the account management office. Actually, management acts as the control of traffic in any organization on its way to success. The management directs the traffic and ensures that there is a balance with the load thus, ensuring that there is no congestion.
The role of a union in an organization
Apart from looking at the role of management within an organization, the key roles played by a union cannot be ignored in any way. The management normally acts as the important motor which propels the whole machine of an organization. On the contrary, the union acts as the power supply for the machine. It is normally the responsibility of the union to funnel manpower efforts in the direction instructed by the management. The unions usually constitute organizations which in the real sense target the terms and conditions of employment. In addition, unions constantly try to find possible and increasingly effective solutions towards various problems faced by workers at an individual level. In most cases, unions serve various spheres like the market front, political, the regulatory front and the democracy front. A union is normally expected to pay much attention towards the grievances and the interests of workers. It should additionally be inclined towards the interests of the entire workforce in a nation. Such unions contain massive strength in their togetherness and leadership. It is normally usually via this solidarity and collectiveness that these unions contain the ability to influence various decisions of management in organizations.
