Dr. Mascot seeks to open a small health clinic in River Dale City and has since asked me to write him a strategic plan. This health clinic will provide both inpatient and outpatient services. There will be five beds and two qualified employees to help him in running the clinic. There are prospects of the health center growing by 30% if it provides quality service. Business Description This health center seeks to provide quality health services to all residents of River Dale. Both wings will provide consultation, testing, and prescription, but the in-patient will have an additional feature of beds to host patients who require more doctors’ attention. The two wings will take the same disciplined look to charter ways for the future success of Mascot’s health center. The clinic will also partner with St. John’s ambulance to cater for emergency services that might need a referral. Patients will be treated with or without insurance cover as this will broaden the customer base. To improve the clinic’s public relation, there will be patients’ convention and the doctors will attend. Our strategic goals. 2.1.1 Excellence. To provide a patient-centered service, professional healthcare that is of high quality, compassionate and caring. We aim to inspire health wellness and become the best through providing the best services. 2.1.2. Business growth and impact The health facility will seek to expand its services, and finally be a fully-fledged hospital. Pioneering efforts in community health and developing other skill, experience, and capabilities through research and collaborating with other medical institutions to influence the state’s health policies for the better (Bryson, 2018). Mascots health center, will advocate for changing of health financial systems by the state to allow for the uninsured to access better health services. We will also advocate that the state allocates funds that will help lower the medical cost for the uninsured, whether they are assessing health services in public or private facilities. Results from the competitive analysis 5.1 Primary competitors Our closest competitors are located two hundred meters away. The health facility located in the city will be a big competition. However, they offer poor services and they have had several cases of selling counterfeited drugs, so with a good competitor, their location will be less significant. 5.2 Secondary competitors We will face a bruising competition from the local government hospital. Owing to the fact that they are well equipped and can handle a lot of different services, due to the number of personnel. However, people will still prefer our services due to the crowding at the public hospital and the long wait. There also have been complaints over the handling of patients by the hospital staff at the government hospital.
