Sales Playbook: "You Smell Soap" Goals and Rebranding

Essay Instructions:

Our team brand is ''You smell soap'' company.

It's a team project, I am responsible for writing goals and rebranding, (Please see the pictures I have attached for details)

For this assignment, you will work with your team to create a Sales Playbook for a company or product, or service that has failed. You will then develop the core messaging, battle cards, and any sales enablement tools that you would like to include in the Sales Playbook. Please refer to the learnings from at least one of the guest speakers from the course within the body of your Sales Playbook.

The company, product, or service idea will originate from either Shark Tank 10 product that failed and missed or another brand that you are trying to revive.

You can find the Sharktank failures here:

https://www(dot)failory(dot)com/blog/shark-tank-failures Links to an external site.

For this assignment, you need to repair the sales and business development capabilities of your chosen product or service.

Revive the Brand!

Things to consider: how can you

Revive the brand (what equity do you have in the product already?)

Repurpose the product

Reuse the goodwill

Relaunch the company/product/service

Develop a new channel to market

Bring the idea up to date

The next step will be for you and your team to decide which company, product, or service you will use for this assignment. Once you have determined the company, product, and service for the assignment, briefly describe it and upload the description to my courses here.

Deliverable:

Create a multi-page Sales Playbook of less than 30 pages that supports the product that you have selected. While the Sales Playbook may be created in Powerpoint, note that it should include much more detail than you would find on a PowerPoint document. Be sure to use a proven template from one of the sources that were introduced in class.

1. Meet with your team to explore the failed products and services in Shark Tank. That is, those that did not get funding.

2. Determine with the group which product you will select; upload this information.

3. Create a robust Sales Playbook that the sales team can use to position, market, and sell your product/service/company and navigate the competition.

NOTE: This is a team assignment. As such, each team member is expected to contribute to this assignment in order to receive the team grade. It is possible for team members to receive a grade that is different from the team grade due to lack of contribution or performance or absence from the final class presentation.

1 Goals for the Company
1 Increase Sales
Our primary goal is to achieve a 25% growth in sales revenue within the first year and maintain a steady growth rate in subsequent years. We will optimize our product offerings, pricing strategies, and sales channels to accomplish this. We will start by analyzing our current sales data and identifying the best-selling products and any emerging trends in the market (Kotashev, 2022).
Next, we will evaluate our pricing strategy to ensure it is competitive and reflects the value of our product. It is essential to balance affordability for our target customers and profitability for the business. We will also explore introducing volume discounts, promotional offers, and limited edition products to incentivize new and repeat purchases.
Moreover, we will focus on expanding our sales channels by strengthening relationships with existing retailers, partnering with new retail outlets, and enhancing our online presence. A robust e-commerce platform will allow us to reach a broader audience and offer a seamless shopping experience for our customers (Dopson, 2022). We will also invest in social media marketing and influencer collaborations to boost our online visibility and create a strong brand community.
Lastly, we will provide our sales team with comprehensive training and resources to equip them with the knowledge and skills to sell LuxuriSuds products effectively. This includes product knowledge, competitor analysis, and tailored sales pitches to appeal to different customer segments.
2 Expand the Market
Our second goal is to introduce the LuxuriSuds product line to new markets, targeting a 15% increase in market penetration within the first 18 months. We will achieve this by conducting thorough market research and identifying potential markets with high demand for luxury soap products. Factors to consider include demographic trends, consumer preferences, and market competition (Klompmaker, 2014).
Once we have identified promising markets, we will develop a tailored market entry strategy for each region. This may include localized marketing campaigns, collaborations with local retailers and influencers, and adjustments to our product offerings or packaging to cater to local preferences.
In addition to geographic expansion, we will explore opportunities to expand our product offerings to cater to different customer segments and needs. This may involve introducing new product lines, such as shower gels, bath salts, or candles, or catering to specific market segments like men, children, or eco-conscious consumers.
We will continuously monitor our progress in these new markets and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful market penetration and growth.
3 Increase Brand Awareness
Our third goal is to improve brand recognition by 30% within the target market within the first year. This will be achieved through effective marketing and public relations strategies. Our marketing efforts will focus on creating a solid and consistent brand identity that resonates with our target audience and showcases the luxurious, indulgent nature of LuxuriSuds products (Wheeler, 2022).
We will invest in high-quality visual content, such as product photography, video advertisements, and social med...
