Organizational development plays an active role in the change process in any organization. More so, organizational development is crucial in hospital organizations since it defines the direction for the intended change in order to improve safety measures. Such safety measures are critical to both patients and healthcare professionals. Therefore, in its broadest sense, organizational development is any effort geared at improving effectiveness and health in an organization (Beckhard, 1969). In hospitals, planning for or implementing change is directly proportional to the successful running of a hospital.
One of the most important aspects in a hospital is quality of care. Without quality care strategies, a hospital is bound to fail miserably in its operational framework.
