The logistics system plays an important role in the supply chain management. It is all about transporting products and goods to the clients without any delays. It is safe to say that if the packaging inefficiencies are reduced, then we can save much money and strengthen the logistics system to an extent (Obeirne & Francis, 2003).
Inefficient packaging leads to increased transportation costs, sensitive material handling, accidental damages of goods, increased storage costs, delays in transportation, poor impression on the customers, and the availability of incorrect information regarding the products. All of these issues can be easily addressed when more and more attention is paid to reducing the packaging inefficiencies (Martin & Stahn, 2012).
