One of the potential benefits of Fiedler contingency model, is that can be relied upon to facilitate effective leadership identification in Sony. Since the theory highlights on the need to rely on the preferred co-worker scale it is beneficial for the management to improve human relations. Hence, when there are task oriented activities, the model is potentially useful to identify individuals best suited to work in groups, where such people have the opportunity to maintain control over the groups. At the same time, for the management to rely more on the relationship approach orientation, then using interpersonal skills is appropriate when making decisions.
One of the problems that leaders have to contend with is uncertainty, since they have to choose the best strategies through which to minimize the impact of the uncertainty.
