Operational Plan for Vector Clothing Introduction An operational plan is an essential aspect of any business that provides strategic direction and outlines how a business will achieve its objectives. With businesses likely to involve many individuals with different tasks, it is important to ensure that each role is defined succinctly and the reporting structure delineated (Bierman et al., 2018). This prevents unwarranted challenges that could affect the optimum running of the business daily. Businesses with operational plans can therefore plan for short-term purposes in tandem with the overall strategic plan, thus providing the leeway for interventions when necessary (Towbin et al., 2018). Consequently, an effective operational plan ensures that all organizational stakeholders are aware of their roles and responsibilities while providing direction on its effective execution to achieve organizational targets. The Business             Vector Clothing is a company specializing in producing and selling casual wear for both men and women. Planning Process             Planning is essential for business since it outlines the future of the company and the right path to follow to achieve its goals. An organization must set smart goals that can be achieved within a set time as a basis for its development. Vector Clothing implements medium-range plans that comprise two years of operations to cover the immediate needs of the business and the market appropriately. These plans are specifically developed for the four departments in the company to ensure they can collaborate and achieve set targets.             Vector clothing’s planning process is guided by the company’s vision and mission, with a functional analysis identifying the major strengths and weaknesses. This provides a starting point to ensure that aspects such as production are managed efficiently to reduce costs which can eventually be passed down to the consumers. Top-level management guides this process since they must account for decisions regarding finance and revenue (George et al., 2019). Daily operations are critical, hence the assessment begins at this level to determine the optimal running conditions enabling the management to develop a basic understanding of the company’s position at the beginning of every cycle.             Once a basis is developed, the company can develop forecasts for future sales and other needs to determine appropriate budgets. This is essential because planning requires the development of inventory according to market needs. In this case, Vector Clothing must determine the viability of the coming market season with regard to the economic outlook to find the most appropriate way of having raw materials, advertising, and product releases. Afterward, the company can then develop tactical goals that stimulate appropriate actions that will drive the business forward (Bierman et al., 2018). These are directed to middle-level management since they are in charge of the company’s departments responsible for delivering products. Such goals must align with the company’s vision and mission to ensure that service delivery and quality remain high.         &nbs...
