Offering a full Industrial-grade hygiene service since 1995, NVL Laboratories have a wide range of stakeholder. Some of the major stakeholder groups are their clients, and their employees.
Because their clients are involved in a diverse range of businesses (such as environmental engineering, architecture, general construction, real estate, government agencies, etc.), NVL had struggle in meeting each individual client’s needs and standards. They had to ensure that the solutions they offer meet the environmental, health and safety needs required by the state as well as minimize risks and overhead costs for the clients.
Meanwhile, the cultural diversity among NVL Laboratories meant that the company had to train their leaders in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment. The company had to ensure that they are able to involve their workers from minority groups, but also ensure that there service is delivered with excellence and professionalism.
2. What are Org. X’s core competencies (i.e., what does it do better than others to achieve sustainable competitive advantage)?
The company has a number of core competencies such as: the broad range of support they provide their clients, their team of exports that handle their projects, the good quality of the service they deliver, and lastly, their capacity to nurture multiculturalism.
