As you are reviewing the growth of your selected company(order#00035570), you are noticing how diversity and sexual harassment issues are impacting the overall company culture. You want to make sure that your friend is not vulnerable to any legal issues that could jeopardize the survivability of the company. You realize that you may need to start implementing a few policies now instead of waiting until the HR department has been fully materialized. You will also need to communicate the policies to the managers, staff and employees of your selected company. 



Write a five to six (5-6) page paper in which you:

1.Create a diversity policy for your selected company to mitigate discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, etc. and to promote a diverse workplace. Note: Use the following samples as guidance.

Even though, there have been anti-discrimination legislations in place, workers still experience problems with diversity problem and sexual harassment. There is a need to have policies that govern anti-discrimination, and training is one of the options to help workplaces to improve working conditions. The anti-discrimination policies assist organizations to eliminate fears and stereotypes about diversity issues that may result in workplace discrimination (van Ewij, 2011). Besides legal provisions, the management’s commitment to ensure a more inclusive workforce that does not discriminate. This paper focuses on a proposed diversity policy and sexual harassment policy at Stamps. Com, Inc as well as a diversity training plan.
Diversity policy: Stamps com Inc (STMP)
General
There is a need to have an equality and diversity policy in place representing the progressive approach to handle discrimination. However, the management needs to be commitment to ensuring that there is equality and diversity as this guides the workforce, given the need to have cultural change that has long-term positive impact on the company. Every individual is accorded equal opportunity, with the company also respecting human rights provisions. The idea of otherness can often make it difficult for those who are considered different to feel comfortable (Calafell, 2014).
[1] Stamps. Com Inc (STMP) embraces equality and diversity and the management is tasked with ensuring that diversity is respected in the workplace and when conducting all business activities. We will ensure that the employees recruited believe in the company’s ideals of equality and diversity, while engaging clients who meet their diversity targets
[2] Stamps. Com Inc (STMP) will ensure that there is diversity for all potential recruits and workers, adhering to the equality and diversity policy. To ensure the policy is properly working there, will be reviews the recruitment process to avoid any unlawful acts that lock away deserving candidates based on their beliefs, of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation.

The company will strictly follow meritocracy based on qualifications, suitability, experience and ability to perform the specified duties when there is a vacancy

The company’s commitment

Where possible, Stamps. Com Inc will make arrangements to adjust for disabled workers so long as the adjustments are feasible and reasonable.
It is expected that all the workers will understating the terms of the policy, as the company is committed to provide a good working environment free from discrimination and unlawful harassment.
In cases where an employee believes that they have been harassed and discriminate against then one should make an immediate report to the Human Resource manager. This should include the complaint in written format, the incident, date and place of occurrence, indication whether there were witnesses and the individuals involved.
Stamps. Com Inc monitors compliance with the diversity policy while dealing with all complaints that will be thoroughly investigated.
Sexual harassment policy- Stamps. Com Inc
Purpose
Stamps. Com is committed to ensure that the workplace is free from discrimination and sexual harassment, and all employees are treated with respect. Sexual harassment violates the rights of victims while also making the workplace unwelcome, it is unlawful and the company considers sexual harassment to be serious violations. This sexual harassment policy shall apply for staff under full time, part time as well as work experience placements. The policy further applies for work-related transactions at workplace or any work-related functions. The quid pro quo sexual harassment relates to employment, job promotion, performance evaluations, salary increases and other work related issues that depend on sexual behavior, whereby the rejection of sexual advances is likely to result in job loss or worse. Typically, the persons in authority abuse their power, as a way to dominate and control others (McLaughlin, Uggen , & Blackstone, 2012).
[1] Sexual harassment is any unwelcome sexual advances, unwelcome physical contact or conduct that is sexual or verbal unwelcome conduct that is sexual and sexual favors granted as a precondition for job offers or promotion. This extends to making any obscene gestures, vulgar or comments that are sexually offensive and unstable for business purposes.
