Covid-19 Findings
The Covid-19 pandemic brought about a very adverse effect on Walmart operations which required abrupt response. The epidemic led to a significant shortage of usable goods, which were primarily used as a means of protection from contracting the disease (Forehand et al., 2021). This was due to the inability to package and transport the goods at the concurrent flow rate to the consumers. This, therefore, resulted in empty shelves as the goods outflow outdid the inflow rate (Nilufer, 2020). Due to the abrupt rise of demand, labor availability also emerged as a hindrance to the effectiveness of utility to the consumers. The supply chain operation of Walmart was also at stake due to the incongruent production and usability of the goods demanded. However, Walmart responded by raising several measures to reduce the quantity of escalating goods to serve all the customers equally with the available little.
Recommendations and Financial Analysis
