The first day of a new job stands among the most memorable days and can bring stressful events to our careers. Each individual's wish is to impress both the colleagues and the superior staff members, and the pressure emanating from the desire to impress can make the day memorable. We can, however, work on reducing anxiety by planning our first day on the job.
On my first day on the job, it is essential to wear presentable and comfortable clothes to give a good impression while also looking professional. Therefore, I will wear a formal business skirt suit with matching material and color. The suit will have a dark color to help present a confident and mature vibe (Engle, 2020). I will also wear a white t-shirt which is just fitting to ensure that I will be comfortable throughout the day. I will also wear back heels that are 2-inches or less since I do not know how much I will need to walk around the company on my first day.
Some of the questions I would ask on my first day include what is expected of me in my position. I would ask this question to my superior. I would also ask the manager how one can share their ideas aimed towards improving the company and who I will be reporting to. I can also talk to colleagues and ask them about an elaborate vision of the company and listen to what they have to say about their experience in the company.
