Apple uses a complicated supply chain to develop the final products that are sold to consumers. The production activities of the company are located in numerous places around the world. The factors that affect the choice of location include the presence of raw materials, mining environment, and cost of production. The raw materials such as gold, silver, and copper are endowed in different countries around the globe, and such, they influence the company’s choice of a production location. In regards to the mining environment, the mining process of some minerals violates human rights and the company avoids such locations.
