HR policies: headquarters in Florida
Essay Instructions:
This assignment demonstrates that changes in laws (and sometimes court case decisions) affecting workplaces occur quite frequently; compliance can be challenging for employers especially those with multi locations.
Please begin by reading the required background material for this module. After you have read them and reflected upon them, imagine that you are the HR Director for an organization that specializes in providing customer service call centers for multiple organizations. Your organization has expanded rapidly over the past few years. Besides your company headquarters in Florida, your company now has four other U.S. locations as well as two locations in India.
Create a plan for the Human Resources department to address recent employment law/labor law updates, changes, and trends that may impact your organization across any and/or all of its locations. Be sure to select four other states for your company's locations and state them in your paper. Discuss recent changes to state laws and federal laws that might affect your employees in any and all your locations (India included). Also consider recent major court case decisions and employment trends that might affect your employees. Be sure to address the overlap/interrelationships of laws and policies as they might impact your company, and address HRM actions that are necessary because of the new regulations.
This should be written as if you were going to submit it to senior management for review.
Please upload your paper to Coursenet. Paper length: 4-5 pages, not counting cover and reference pages.
Assignment Expectations:
Your paper should demonstrate critical thinking and analysis of the relevant issues and HRM actions, drawing upon all of the required background readings and any relevant sources from your prior courses and your own library and Internet (reputable websites) research.
Prepare a paper that is professionally presented (including a cover page, a "List of References," and a strong introduction and conclusion). Proofread your paper carefully for grammar, spelling and word-usage errors.
Address all aspects of the assignment as stated above.
Provide private-sector employer examples of HRM programs, systems, processes and/or procedures as you address the above assignment requirements. Provide the names of the employers

Introduction
My company that has strategically set its headquarters in Florida and over the years it has broaden its branches to most parts of America and Asia, India to be specific is the FCCI insurance group. It was an insurance company that was started as an insurance company that supplied the small business men and moderate people with medical and property cover. However, over the years the company has grown to becoming a multinational insurance company this is was it opened its branches in India one of its oversea countries.
Despite its broadening and changing structure the company has faced and is facing more problems in its daily means of offering services to its clients a major factor that affects its services includes the laws of the different states and overseas countries it offers its services and as the human resources manager of the company (Fiester & Stone, 2008). It is my obligation to note the different methods aimed at ensuring the company and the employees of the company abide by the rules and regulations that exist in the different locations were the company has set its operations.
In the United States of America the company operates in more than ten states including Florida which is its head office there four states include, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois and Mississippi amongst other states that aren’t mentioned in this paper. It also has oversea branches that include countries in Europe and Asia and in this paper we are going to highlight on the company’s aspects in India. Its ways of interacting with the laws that are existing in the different locations that the company is operating.
The company has to adapt to some set international regional and federal laws in order for the organization to fit with the set labor requirements of the exact location and at the same time protect its employees from being infringed from the laws of the places they operate therefore giving them a good work environment (Budhwar & Bhatnagar, 2009).
The human resources manager of this company has to be well informed of the different labor laws that are in existent in the different states, in India in order to make the company to maximize on its profits and incur no loses in maters of compensating there employees or other companies for going against the laws that are set in the different locations.
The change in technology to some extent has influenced the laws that exist in the companies, as the companies had to adhere to the new rules that came in place as a result of the new technological advances. As the human resource manager I have to offer my employees with training and guidance that will provide them with the correct information that will aid them when doing there work. This will reduce cases of errors and violation of the employee’s rights that may cost the company due to lack of following the laws (Assistant Secretary for Policy, 2009).
The organization will also look at the labor laws set in the respective location an example in Florida is in the matter pertaining to reduction or termination of officials. The laws of this state requires an employee salary to be deducted or dismissed if the employee doesn’t comply to the organizations codes and ethics including the employee absence from duty for personal reasons (Fiester & Stone, 2008). If the employee suffers from an illness that will deter him from being present at work for a long time either through sickens or accident or even if the em...
