Expatriate Package Assignment

Essay Instructions:
This is a group project that goes with the Cover Letter assignment that you did for me. In our group they decided to change a few things. Our company is still unnamed (which I don’t think will matter for my portion) and is in Aerospace tech partnered with Raytheon. We chose to stick with Karachi, Pakistan. There are 4 team members and we each have different sections to cover in the project. I am doing Political, Religion/Places of Worship, Banking/Currency/Exchange Rates, Shopping and Passport/Visa. Paper Details • Include pictures. • Writing Style – Business • Use bullet points and linear logic. • Reference Page – APA Style Rubric for my sections. Political • Points - 0-3 • Description - This topic can be fraught with landmines. Whiles your expat needs to be aware of current issues, they also need to know what is socially acceptable to discuss with business partners as well as neighbors and friends. Notes: In some countries, it is against the law to say anything negative against the ruling authorities. Religion/Places of Worship • Points - 0-3 • Description – Let the expat and their family know what is legal in their new country and city and then what their options are. For example, pictures and locations of places of worship in various religious traditions. Banking/Currency/Exchange Rates • Points - 0-10 • Description – Provide information and recommendations (location, services, etc.) for banks with a good reputation serving expats. For example, what documents are required and process to opening an account; what transfer feeds and availability wait times are there for international deposits? Shopping • Points - 0-3 • Description – Include options, with locations, pictures, and price ranges for regular purchases such as groceries as well as specialized. Passport/Visa • Points - 0-5 • Description – Provide specifics on the process, cost entailed, standard wait times for all vital documents for the expat and his/her family members. I am going to attach a team members mock draft of a the project and my outline of directions that we made as a group. Please let me know if anything else is needed or if you have any questions.

Expatriates Package Name Institutional Affiliation Instructor Course Date Expatriates Package Political Welcome again to Karachi, Pakistan, which will be your new home from now, which is why you need to the country’s political environment to facilitate your assimilation. The political situation primarily shapes the nature of Pakistan's corporate affairs, management, and labor relations. Governments implement different policies and laws on corporate practices; these include labor and investment. In addition to this, developing political associations and partnerships reduce business partners' relationships on a professional basis, which in turn affects their working relationships and sometimes results in competition in the workplace (Elahi et al., 2018). This calls for comprehending the political setting since strategies must be implemented to solve problems and benefit from emerging opportunities. Knowledge of the areas to talk about and awareness of current affairs are the two vital aspects of Pakistani politics. The communication process of casual interactions with friends and neighbours and business and trade places proves that expatriates require more carefulness in political speech (Noman et al., 2020). Staying watchful on political issues and making well-balanced choices is an urgent task. Talking about political situations in Pakistan is no easy task because the topic of choice may be banned or illegal. On the one hand, social media anonymity can be used by non-transparent political groups to harm politicians' reputations. The reason is that people traveling abroad are afraid of their words, actions, and behavior, which might hurt someone or break the local laws. Indeed, it is essential to understand and respect diverse cultural backgrounds when making friends and colleagues from Pakistan, especially if the topic of discussion is political. However, by carefully understanding that political issues in Pakistan are susceptible and acting with compassion and politeness, immigrants will be more likely to succeed in adapting to their new environment. Foreigners in Pakistan can practice caution, care about cultural sensitivity, and foster friendly relationships in their working and social lives, accelerating cross-cultural communication. Religion/Places of Worship            Pakistan is an Islamic country. Islam is the dominant religion, and Islamic values widen their influence on all aspects of life, including law and workplaces. Expatriates and their families moving to Pakistan should respect and adhere to Islamic rituals, customs, and the public and private spheres of life (Udin et al., 2020). On the other hand, despite the existence of different religions, societal norms widely align with Islam. However, there is still freedom of worship for other faiths, though they are limited as they have less influence on society.   Mosques, primarily for Muslims and located in cities and towns across the country, are the most sacred places in Pakistan. These mosques are the hub of the community's social and religious activities (Udin et al., 2020). These mosques are where the congregation prays and are open to people throughout the day. Those keen to understand Islamic culture and participate in mosque activities while living abroad may find mosques hospitable, where they are likely to learn and mingle with others. In Pakistan, the area of worship for members of the expatriate community who do not have an Islamic background is minimal. Religious places such as churches, temples, or gurdwaras are generally smaller in number and distributed in varied locations; for instance, bigger cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Therefore, expatriates need to conduct in-depth studies and engage with local faith communities to understand religious sentiments within the context of cultural sensitivities in Pakistan (Noman et al....
