Business and Marketing
The technology industry has grown with leaps over the years and has massive impacts on the social, cultural and economic aspects of the society. Like the invention of the wheel, technology has massive impacts on the society and today influences most of the aspects of the daily life. One of the leading innovators in the industry was Steve Jobs. He became one of the most influential innovators and leaders in the technology realm, bringing some of the most fundamental changes to the way that people interact with mobile devices such as mobile phones, iPods, tablets and laptops among others. From a young age, Steve was largely innovative and an intelligent thinker (Biography.com, 2016). He was also frustrated with the formal schooling system, which he felt did not give the right traction to students that wanted more in their lives and careers. Growing up in his career, he brought some fundamental changes to personal computing. With the invention of the personal computer Steve was able to bring to million the ability to carry out personal and professional tasks with more ease. At the same, there is the element of the introducing the advanced hand held gadgets such as iPods, iPads and iPhones, which brought on a different approach to interact with technology. When they started Apple Inc. in the garage with Wozniak, they had a vivid vision of revolutionizing the technology industry by breaking the bounds that had been established by some of the companies at the time (Biography.com, 2016). They were able to change the industry by democratizing the industry (Kermode, 2015). They brought on board smaller computers, which were also smaller and cheaper. This also meant that the common consumers could now afford computers for their home and personal use. In light of the various business-oriented elements that Steve applied in his life, Danny Boyle, in 2015 released the movie, Steve Jobs attributed to innovation maestro. The movie that is classified as Biography, drama runs for two hours and two minutes and captures the business, personal and professional elements that made Steve Jobs an innovative leader (Collin, 2015).
Steve Jobs
The movie, Steve Jobs, was released to the theaters in 2015 and became one of the most gravitating, with attributes to one of the most innovative leaders in the technology sector. The movie is classified as biography drama and runs for two hours and two minutes. Directed by Danny Boyle, the movie details the life of Steve Jobs, bring out some of the elements that made him the greatest innovators in the personal computing industry and as vividly as Aaron Sorkin, it is the main screen writer (Collin, 2015). Steve's biography was, however, written by Walter Isaacson, who also detailed the life of innovative leader. There is an element of connection for those that had read the book and then watched the movie. However, as always there are those elements that may be missing from both media platforms. Watching the movie, there is an evidence of the quality of the directing skills that go into the development of the piece (Lemire, 2015). This is a trademark that boldly associated with Boyle's work. It is a tightly choreographed piece that brings clear lines in the visual and the narrative aspect, creating the perfect synthesis of performance and direction along with quality writing.
Environment of business
From the movie and even in Steve's life there is an underlying element of business environment that is brought out. When both Steve and Wozniak decided that it would be a great idea to come up with the Apple Company, they were looking at how best to approach a business environment. Ideally, at the time there was a big gap that existed in the industry. Most of the personal computers that were produced at the time were quite large and mostly definitely expensive. As such, though computers were becoming popular, this was only to a very small population of corporations that could afford to have them on their companies and the government institutions. For the rest of the consumers, the computers did not have any impact on their lives as they largely did not interact with them. Most of the people at the companies that had the computers did not also have the luxury of interacting with the very expensive hardware. Most of the computers at the time were also not as advanced. The business environment had not experienced any major shifts since the invention of the computer as only a few of the people had the chance to interact with them relative to price. Not many companies would have allowed all the staff to interact with a piece of hardware that was extremely expensive. This is despite the fact that the computers at the time did not have much computing abilities compared to what came later under Steve's innovations.
Business ownership and entrepreneurship
One of the aspects that are largely captured in the movie that indicates the basic attribute of Steve Jobs is that of entrepreneurial skills. In all the ventures that Steve got involved, he had the genius element of identifying gaps in the market and the ways in which he could offer a solution with a business twist to it. This was one of the most fundamental characters of Steve and one that made his a success at Apple and even most of his career. He was able to identify that most of the computers that were in the market were expensive, large and unavailable to the general public (Collin, 2015). At the same t...
